As a first-party Xbox Game Studio, we are passionate about making genre-defining games that are accessible, beautiful, and, most of all, fun. We are excited to be rebooting the much-loved Fable franchise and are expanding our diverse team to create a new classic in the action RPG genre.
About the role:
As a Technical Designer, you will be working with the technical design team who take responsibility for the script architecture for Fable. You will implement systems, features, and prototypes in our custom, proprietary engine while collaborating closely with other disciplines like design and engineering.
Our ideal candidate is a Technical Designer who is passionate about their craft and delivering great player experiences and is skilled in problem identification and solving.
This is a permanent role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa.
What you’ll do:
- Work with a highly motivated, talented, cross-discipline team.
- Use tools and scripting within our custom, proprietary engine to implement and maintain systems and features to the highest standard.
- Build prototypes to help answer creative, technical, and workflow questions.
- Collaborate with creative and technical disciplines like design and engineering.
What you’ll bring:
- Scripting experience in C++, C#, or similar.
- Interest in collaborating with a team of diverse perspectives to derive great solutions.
- Passion for problem identification and solving.
- A flexible, highly motivated and friendly approach to your work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine passion for video games.
