Playground Games is seeking a Narrative Designer for Fable.

As part of the writing team, you’ll work closely with writers and quest designers to develop the game’s narrative. You’ll be a strong collaborator with a flair for leveraging game mechanics to tell memorable stories.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Craft compelling storylines, satisfying interactions, and rich lore to

support the project vision

• Create and maintain documentation for all types of narrative elements

• Design interactive dialogue systems and implement narrative

structures using in-house tools

• Collaborate with writers and designers to provide narrative support for

design elements

• Provide insightful, constructive feedback to writers and designers

SKILLS SUMMARY

• A genuine passion for games or interactive storytelling

• A demonstrable track record of quality as a narrative designer

• A creative eye for storytelling mechanics and systems and a deep

understanding of the interactive requirements of game narrative

• Familiarity with standard game development processes and workflows

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A natural collaborator who’s comfortable working in cross-discipline

teams

• Willingness to receive and provide insightful, constructive feedback

• AAA games experience preferred but not required

• Knowledge of the Fable franchise or RPG titles is a definite plus
